New England Culinary Arts Training
New England Culinary Arts Training (NECAT) empowers low-income and homeless individuals facing barriers to employment through training in culinary skills, social-emotional development, and career readiness for success and long-term financial stability. Culinary Instructor Chef Niurka LeBron and several program participants were on hand to accept a grant from Journey For Good Foundation in support of their job training program. Chef LeBron and team are joined by Jordan Silverman, Director of Journey For Good Foundation, Max Roesch, Senior Director of Operations for HMSHost by Avolta at Boston Logan International Airport, and Lila Araiza, Operations General Manager for Dufry by Avolta.
Second Helpings Atlanta
Second Helpings Atlanta is dedicated to reducing hunger and food waste throughout metro Atlanta by rescuing surplus food and delivering it to those in need. Presenting a check to Second Helpings Atlanta Executive Director Paul Clements on behalf of Journey For Good Foundation are Ray Devilla, Operations General Manager for Hudson by Avolta at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Pearlie Peavy, Operations Manager for Hudson by Avolta, and several members of the Hudson by Avolta team.
U.S.VETS Houston
On behalf of Journey For Good Foundation, Perla Rodriguez, General Manager, Hudson by Avolta at William P. Hoppy Airport, and Jay Greenberg, Senior Director of Operations, HMSHost by Avolta at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, presented a grant to David Traxler, USMC Ret., Executive Director for U.S.VETS Houston on Veterans Day 2024. The grant will help this organization as it works to address the urgent need for resources for homeless veterans in the greater Houston area, allowing them to continue to provide temporary and permanent housing, counseling, career development, and other comprehensive services aimed at preventing and ending veteran homelessness.
